The
KMC MEP-MEP-7062/7762 fail-safe ControlSet Actuators are designed to regulate
large control air dampers and valves in HVAC systems. Both accept a 2–10 VDC or
4–20 mA control signal input from a thermostat, controller, or building
automation system. A 1–5 VDC feedback voltage output is provided which is
proportional to the control signal. These actuators mount directly to 3/8” up to
1.05” round or 5/16” up to 5/8” square shafts, eliminating the need for
expensive and complicated linkage. A minimum 150 in-lb of torque is available on
the 7062 and a minimum 300 in-lb of torque is available on the 7762 over the 94°
angular rotation. A gear disengagement feature allows positioning of the damper
and/or gear train without energizing the actuator. The actuators are protected
against overloading and do not require end or limit switches. The fail-safe
feature allows selection for the direction of return, and a delay allows a full
charge before normal operation is resumed.
